Overview

When: 27-28 May, 2025   |    Where: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The Government of Malaysia, led by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry, and FORTUNE will jointly host the ASEAN-GCC-China and ASEAN-GCC Economic Forums in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 27 and 28 May 2025 respectively.

These Forums held in conjunction with the inaugural ASEAN-GCC-China Summit, 2nd ASEAN-GCC Summit and 46th ASEAN Summit will be attended by Government Leaders from China; the ten members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, ASEAN (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam); and the six nations in the Gulf Cooperation Council, GCC (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates).

The Forums, powered by FORTUNE’s award-winning editors will convene heads of state, ministers, top policy makers, experts, and investors - from the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds to FORTUNE 500 companies.

Our theme: “Inclusivity and Sustainability”. Participants will have the opportunity to gain fresh, unique perspectives and share insights through open conversations on how to thrive in an increasingly complex economic and geopolitical landscape. The Forums will explore urgent challenges facing business and identify innovative policy solutions and bold reforms to chart a path forward to power a sustainable and inclusive future in the region. Bringing together government and business leaders from three of the world’s most dynamic regions — Southeast Asia, the Gulf, and China — these discussions will serve as a vital new platform for dialogue and collaboration.

The two-day Forums offer a unique opportunity to meet and hear from government and business leaders from the three fast-growing regions, which are home to more than two billion consumers, and account for over 20% of the world’s GDP. These regions are rapidly embracing new trade practices, boosting investments, and developing strategies to expand their global reach and strengthen their competitive position in the global market.

Due to profile of attendees and limited space, attendance is strictly by invitation only. If you would like to be considered as an invitee or require more details about the Forums, please kindly contact FORTUNE at agef@fortune.com.
